Lake Fayette Guide Pete Dodge:
Pete has been fishing Lake Fayette since the early 80’s. He lives one mile from the lake and fishes it year round. Consequently, he can keep up with the most productive patterns and areas to fish. Please refer to the About Pete tab for more information on his background as a bass fisherman. He absolutely loves the sport and loves fishing Lake Fayette. He maintains a small guide shack / tackle shop at his home where he prepares his boat and tackle for every trip out. He makes custom rods and baits specifically for Lake Fayette. He has a Skeeter ZX202c equipped with Lowrance HDS Live graphs and a Ghost trolling motor. He has ample rods, both spinning and baitcasting. His number one priority is that YOUR day on the lake is rewarding and memorable!
Lake Fayette:
Lake Fayette was ranked by Bassmaster as the 45th best bass fishing lake in the country for 2014. The best time of the year to fish is throughout the fall, winter and spring months. Fishing is still good in the summer, however it can get very hot, accordingly Pete spends his summers building rods, lures and on boat repairs.
It is not uncommon for more than one pattern to be productive at the same time. Top water, Texas rigs, Crank baits and Carolina rigs can all be extremely effective on the same day. So, whether you are an experienced or novice bass angler, you can fish a technique that suits your comfort level. The Lake Fayette tab has more information on the lake to assist you in preparing for your trip! In addition, Pete will work with you so that you have an enjoyable and successful day on the lake!
Lake Fayette Rates:
Rates are $275 for a 1/2 day trip for two people. Half day trips are 5 hours. You are welcome to bring your personal rods, however Pete has plenty of baitcast/spinning rods available for your use.
