OLD PARK LODGE!

Old Park Lodge’s http://bit.ly/oldparklodge 27TH annual Perch Jerk was once again a great time for all!!  Anglers had been scouring the lake for the mother load of Red Ears for the past two weeks.  Red Ears, generally larger than the Bluegills are the most sought after fish in this rodeo! After the teams weighed in their fish, everyone helped clean them up for the fish fry.  The dinner started at 5:30 and man they were good as was the beer and all the sides!!

You would have thought it was the 2019 Bass Masters Classic!  Six teams participated in this year’s Perch Jerk and as each boat rolled in all eyes turned!  The first question “Did you get your 50?”  “YES” most of the teams replied lowering the hopes those that already weighed in.  You see, each Team gets to weigh in their best 50 Perch and falling even one fish short may keep you out of the money!  Our team didn’t hit the 50 mark until 10:15 and we were glad to get them!

BIG PERCH!

Three teams tied at 13.75 ounces for the big perch prize!  Teams Dodge, Gage & Mako, Nate-Ty-Colton, and Buda & co. split the big perch pot.  Congratulations to all three teams!

THE WINNERS!

First place went to Rodney & company with a blistering bag of 34.8 pounds!  No question they found the larger Red Ears!  Congratulations to hunting them down and putting an excellent sack of 50 in the boat!

Second place went to Nate, Ty & Colton!  Their limit of 50 weighed in at 31.4 pounds!

Third place went to Dodge, Gage & Mako with 50 Bluegills weighing in at 29.2 pounds!

As always, everyone had a great time cleaning fish, drinking beer and enjoying a fantastic fish fry after weigh in! A big thanks to Jimmy at Old Park Lodge for holding the event and all who participated!!
